The island known as Middlesea was once bustling with adventurers. There was a famous dungeon in the sea where the island was located, and this island was the only one along the sea route to that dungeon. For adventurers, the island was the perfect place to use as a base or to rest while exploring the dungeon. Sailors passing nearby also usually restocked supplies or repaired ships at this island. Adventurers would often trade treasures brought out from the dungeon here, and thanks to that, the island's residents lived comfortable lives.

The wealth, population, and glory built on the dungeon's riches faded quickly, and the village reverted to what it was before the dungeon was discovered: a small, unremarkable fishing village. No adventurers remained on the island, except two retired swordsmen who had come from the far East and settled here.
The residents of Middlesea now lived quiet, peaceful lives, but plainer and somewhat more monotonous than before, unaware that a destiny was coming that would turn the entire island completely upside down…
